Bio

Ivan Murgic, (San Juan, Argentina,1994), is an argentinian film director and visual artist. Graduated as Image and Sound Designer, from the University of Buenos Aires. He took part in many residencies and film programs such as: 14th Interaction Student Film Camp in Serbia(2019), organized by FILMART; FAAP Artistic Residency, in São Paulo (2020); LAB Federal video art residency program at Buenos Aires Museum (2021); Universidad Torcuato DiTella, Post Graduate Film Program (2023/24); LEA  Madrid artist in residency (2024-2025).

 

He has made works like: Nuevos Trapos (2024), Ć (2023),  M.V.I. (2021),  Deus Acima de Todos (2020),  Bleja (2019), My flag waves on it’s own (2019), Seism (2018), Keep Undoing (2018), Earthly opposite to the sky (2016), to mention a few. His work has been shown at: 63 Oberhausen Short Film Festival (2nd award for best short film of NRW Jury),VIENNALE (Vienna International Film Festival), 66 Trento International Film Festival, 15th International Film Festival First Frame 2021, 18. Filmski Front DokuFront 2022.

 

He made part of exhibits such as , Mapas Imposibles-Buenos Aires Museo 2021-2022 ,34. Stuttgart Filmwinter Festival for Expanded Media 2021. ̈Itaú Visual Arts Prize'' Casa Nacional del Bicentenario, Buenos Aires, (2019) among others.
